Scripture of the Week: Then she said to her mistress, "If only my master were with the prophet who is in Samaria! For he would heal him of his leprosy." II Kings 5:3 NKJ
Insight: Recently I was on a conference call with several precious ladies who were interested in joining my ministry team and partnering with me in several upcoming projects. During our call I mentioned an assignment the Lord had given me, and how I felt I was to proceed. Immediately, I was confronted with many sound reasons why the way I was going to go would not work.
Dear friends, at this point in the conversation, I completely shut down and out of the conversation. You see, as much as I truly love these wonderful servants of God, they had begun to speak doubt in my spirit of which I vehemently refused to hear. I quickly thanked them for their willingness to serve and said goodbye. Later the next day, I kindly explained my abrupt exit.
Who are you listening to? Have you surrounded yourself with naysayers, or are you hanging out with those who have enough faith to believe? A voice whispering in our ear, can make the difference between faith or fear, failure or success, healing or illness. Who’s been whispering in your ear lately?
Prayer: Dear Heavenly King, I ask you to silence all the naysayers in my life. I ask you to surround me with people of strong faith and those who will speak positive words and words of affirmation that will encourage me in doing things your way. I thank you now for those you are sending as well as those you are removing from being the wrong voice of influence in my life. I pray in Jesus Name, Amen.
