The king said to the man of God, "Please entreat the LORD your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored to me " So the man of God entreated the LORD, and the king's hand was restored to him, and it became as it was before. I Kings 13: 6 NAS
Insight: Notice here in scripture, that the king asked the prophet to pray to his God. Clearly, King Jeroboam was in need of some spiritual assistance. He needed prayers that would be heard.
There are times in our lives when we too, need the prayers of another to go before the Lord on our behalf. In the book of James, God so graciously gave us the proper steps to take in order to receive a physical healing. Go to the elders of the church. Have them anoint with oil, in the name of the Lord and lastly, confess your sins that you may be healed.
There is great power in a prayer of faith. This power is generated by the ability of the individual who is going before the Lord to believe, it is acknowledged by God, and implemented by the power of the Holy Spirit to manifest a physical healing. Is physical healing through prayer possible today? Yes it is. The prerequisite: a prayer of faith prayed by one who has the ability to believe.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, I need today, a healing in my physical body. I am going to move out as your word instructs and call upon the elders. Help me believe. Remove from me, the limitations I have in my own mind that might interfere with the precious gift of healing I am going to receive by faith. I pray now for the elders to have supernatural faith as they pray, and I ask that you remove any limitations they may have. I pray these things in Jesus Name, Amen.
