Make a Proclamation
May 26, 2011
Hear, O Israel; THE Lord is our God, the Lord alone. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
The word proclamation means to make public by announcement. In English law, it refers to a formal announcement or a royal proclamation made under the great seal, of some matter which a king desires to make known to his subjects. Such would be the case in a declaration of war, a statement of neutrality, obeying the decrees of the king, or a summoning of the governing body. Proclamations declare that a change is coming, and it is often associated with the legality of that change, by the decision of ones will.
This phrase is called the Shema which means to hear. It is a proclamation of the Jewish confession of faith by Gods chosen people.
If you feel comfortable, if it is your desire, if you want and believe for change and transformation in your life, then by an acknowledgment of a raised hand you are making a public declaration with allegiance the Almighty living Savior and King. Now with hands raised, read with me Duet. 6:4-5 and make a proclamation.
Dear heavenly Father, Give us the courage and boldness to openly proclaim your Lordship in our lives every day. In Jesus Name, Amen
